“What I miss most about Jiangnan is Hangzhou.” Whether it's the plum blossom under the lonely mountain, the bright moon by the West Lake or the magnificent tide on the Qiantang River, Hangzhou enjoys a high reputation because of its beautiful scenery and excellent history, attracting countless tourists to visit and travel.
Park Hyatt Hangzhou, inspired by the former residence of legendary businessman Hu Xueyan in the Qing Dynasty, is located in Vientiane City Complex, adjacent to Hangzhou Grand Theatre, Qiantang River, West Lake and famous museums. Whether it is a business worker or a tourist, the hotel is close to the next scenic spot in Hangzhou.
The hotel is easily accessible from Hangzhou West High-speed Railway Station, which is only an hour away. The metro is connected to Wanxiang City and the hotel can be reached directly from the B1 level. The hotel lobby is on the 37th floor and features golden plum blossom patterns, marble walls and wood-colored furniture, reflecting the Jiangnan style of the new Chinese style everywhere.
Everyone came to the greenery and it was quite crowded when we arrived at 2 pm. The hotel specially designated an area in Yuexuan to provide some drinks for guests to wait for the room, which was a great service. After checking in, the staff explained the hotel facilities and restaurant operating hours and escorted us to the lift.
The hotel is close to the Qiantang River, so it is natural to choose the river view room. To the right of the entrance hall is the bathroom and cloakroom, and forward to the wet and dry washroom. The bathtub is by the window, so you can soak in the bath at night while enjoying the night view of Qianjiang New Town. At the end of the entrance hall and turning left is the bedroom. At one end of the bedroom is a large bed, facing the Qiantang River, and at the other end is an office desk and chair. The Minibar cabinet with a gradual lotus design is connected to the TV wall, which is directly opposite the entrance of the guest room.
The most striking feature of the bedroom is the golden wax plum painted on the bedside mural, which is meaningful and delicate, making its own heavy room much more gentle and graceful, with a sense of a private Chinese house in the clouds. The only drawback is that it is a little close to other buildings around.
For dining, I chose the hotel's Yuexuan. As a Black Pearl 2-star recommended restaurant, Yuexuan's food is relatively stable, with flavors leaning towards Hangzhou cuisine but drawing inspiration from Sichuan cuisine. The breakfast is especially good. Facing Qianjiang New Town, slowly eat a hot dumpling and feel awakened for the whole day.
The swimming pool and gym are located on the 35th floor. The thermostatic pool is full of rippled marble texture. The large floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the Qiantang River and the new city CBD, with all the glitz and glamour at your feet. The gym is large and well-equipped, and the facilities are well-maintained. Running overlooking Qianjiang New City through the windows also has a unique charm. Moreover, there is a bubble pool in the dressing room.
Park Hyatt Hangzhou is within easy reach of various transport hubs such as the high-speed railway station and airport, as well as popular holiday destinations such as West Lake. It’s also conveniently located in the vicinity of all the major tourist attractions. As the leading luxury hotel in Qianjiang, Park Hyatt Hangzhou is characterized by its impressive hardware, sophisticated design, popular dining and meticulous service.
Without the blessing of West Lake and Xixi Wetland, Hangzhou Park Hyatt still creates a "Jiangnan Water Town" in the clouds of the modern concrete forest. Park Hyatt in Hangzhou has a sense of tranquility, and the low-key and restrained luxury makes me fascinated.
